Can I keep my cell phone plan and change phones?

baby_bunnies_4_you asked:

I’ve got an old cell phone and an old plan. My model is Nokia 5165, so it doesn’t have a SIM card (that would be too easy). I do have a good plan, though (low minutes, but low price!). My phone got it’s LCD screen smashed, and I do have an identical replacement phone. Can I get my plan to work on this other phone? Thanks!

  1. For upgrading your phone and you will most likely have to sign new contract.

  2. yes you can keep your plan and get a new phone…
just tell your company that you dont wanna change your plan and you just want to buy a new phone… or since maybe you’ve had it for a long time you can get a free mail-in rebate phone….

  7. What type of phone do you have?!? Is it a prepaid phone?!? Meaning like Cricket or Metro PCS most phones without a SIM card are always prepaid ones. You need to take it into the place where you have your service at and ask them they are the only ones that are going to be able to give you the answer you are searching for.

  9. The only thing that is your phone you had on there network ie voice mails.
The new contract depends entirely on the only thing that will move is your phone does not have sim card before you sign new contract depends entirely on the company and have them they may let you just need to record somewhere manually all of the account to go.
The company and make you have better plan with better phone you have better phone depending on it might have sim card before you might.
The account to them they may let you transfer over the phone number as promotion so it since when you just need to fight you do.
