What’s the best cell phone plan to get?

Ty M asked:

I’m planning on getting a cell phone, but I don’t know what company I should go with. I’m not looking to pay alot per month, but I also want the best plan for my money (obviously). I’m looking for $50-$60/month. I’d like a phone that I can listen to music on also, sorta like an ipod, but if the plan is worth it, I’m willing to sacrifice. Any opinions?

Can you transfer an existing Sprint cell phone plan to someone else AND keep your number?

KoufaxSpahn asked:

I have 6 months left with my cell phone plan, and my sister has a pay as you go Virgin Mobile phone. Just wondering if there is a way to transfer the plan to her, but we both keep our numbers. If you can’t, is there any way I can get out of my Sprint plan without paying a termination fee? I am going to AT&T.

Cell phone plan to call and receive between Canada and US?

Jake asked:

I am planning to get rid of my home phone. I need a cell phone plan that will allow me to call my family in Canada from the US and for them to be able to call me for a reasonable rate. I am not interested in Skype or other similar companies, this must be a cell phone plan.
Appreciate any insights.

Can I get a cell phone plan without any credit history?

j p asked:

I know they do a credit check, but I dont have credit history since I dont have a card. I have prepaid with T-mobile, and I want to change to a monthly plan. I’m 19 and I plan on paying for it in the store every month, because I dont have a checking account or credit card. Will I still be rejected or is there some way around this? I cant imagine I’m the only person without credit history who needs a cell phone.

What is a good(money value) cell phone plan out there for a single person?

ditto06 asked:

I want to purchase my first cell phone. It would be for my use alone. The majority of my calls are to people in other states and to Puerto Rico. I want a “get free cell phone with this plan” type of deal. I want an inexpensive plan. Which are out there that you would recommend?

How does a cell phone plan work?

Eric asked:

When you get a cell phone plan (from T-mobile or Sprint) with a contract, do they run a credit check before you can use the phone? Or can you usually talk on the phone right as you walk out the door of the cell phone retailer.
